Day Three

"Fighting for One America" Bus Tour Day 3 - WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 15, 2007
BUILDING ONE AMERICA BY REWARDING WORK

The excitement continues!

Day three is off to a fantastic start.

Rain came suddenly and heavily during the fifth or sixth question at our outdoor event in Manly, Iowa, but that of course didn't stop John Edwards. The group packed into Ralph's Cafe so John could take more questions and thank everyone for coming. Check out the pictures:

Merle, a future caucus-goer An excited crowd greeted John and Elizabeth in Osage, Iowa for our second stop at the Maple Inn Cafe. Afterward we met Merle, a future caucus goer who when asked who he was supporting for President immediately placed a tiny hand on his John Edwards sticker. Check out more pictures from the event here:

Then it was on to Charles City and the Floyd County Historical Museum where a huge crowd turned out to hear John and ask questions about education, health care, HIV/AIDS, and other critical issues.

Jack and Emma Claire seemed more interested in some of the items at the museum:

Only One Rural Advisor Named Mudcat

Yesterday, as the bus tour continued through Sioux City, Ida Grove, Rockwell City, Pocahontas, Clarion and Clear Lake, Iowa, John focused on his plans to revitalize rural America.

We were joined on the tour by John's rural advisor and good friend, Dave "Mudcat" Saunders. At the first stop in Sioux City, after laying out the specifics of his plan (which you can see here), John added this:

"If you want to know whether I'm serious about all of this - I can promise you I'm the only candidate with a rural advisor named Mudcat."

Check out the video below to see more about the day

And make sure to spread the word so your friends and family can follow along with the tour here on our Iowa site.
